2. DESIGN AND DEVELOP DIGITAL-AGE LEARNING EXPERIENCES AND ASSESSMENTS:
c. Customize and personalize learning activities to address students’ diverse learning styles, working strategies, and abilities using digital tools and resources
Learning Style-Centered Reading AssessmentsThe following document is one which I created for use in a 4th or 5th grade (or above) classroom. It addresses seven of Gardener's eight Multiple Intelligences and allows students to show what they know about a book after they've read it using a preferred learning style. I have challenged students to choose two options from the list to help them broaden their learning potential through a learning style which might not be as easy for them as their first choice. Each of these options will allow the students to reach a deeper understanding of the book because they will need to use critical thinking skills to meet each task. Each choice requires the use of some kind of digital tool: online classroom blog, video camera, or design program on a computer or iPad)
